Hi Ben

Relatively new to your website. I was most pleasantly surprised to find it recently (2-3 weeks ago). Thank you very much for your dedication to this. I would have loved to show this to my father Milton even a few months ago. He would have been thrilled. I'm an (very) amateur historian and my father told me quite a bit about his time with the 643rd TD battalion. Many details are fuzzy however, as his memories faded over the past 5 years or so but generally he enjoyed his time in service. My father was lucky enough to visit France about 10 years ago with my mother, when his health was much better, and he clearly remembered where he bivouacked near Valognes. I was lucky enough visit Omaha and Utah Beaches about 15 years ago now in a separate trip.

I also have a nice photo of him at an unknown location in Germany probably after VE Day.

Best,

John Partridge
