Henry was 'Killed in Action' near Wernigerode, Germany April 12th, 1945.

He was shot by a German sniper while helping to remove a roadblock from the path of their Tank Destroyer.

 

At first Henry was temporary buried on American Military Cemetery, Margraten, The Netherlands.

After Margraten was assigned to become a permenant American overseas Cemetery Henry was on the wishes of his wife/parents repatriated back to The States.

 

Henry was then finally buried on Grandville Cemetery, Grandville, MI
